OSF Biking Ladies

Last Tuesday a group of ladies from Huntington Beach biked approximately 8 miles (round trip) to Sugar Shack Cafe for breakfast.
They are hoping to make this a monthly ritual.
Since they saved so much on gas they didn't feel so guilty spending $3 for their meal. Just kidding! And they burned it off too!

That's commendable. What do you suggest for those of us in extremely hilly terrain? It's brutal even pushing a double stroller up the hills we have around here.

Granted. You have it tougher than us going uphill but much easier going down. We have a couple huge hills and as I've pulled my son and his friend in the trailer I shout out "I think I can, I think I can!" And as we cruise down having conquered our humpbacked enemy we shout out in victorious glee, "weeeeeee!"

Way to go you guys! We sure are proud of you here at our house. And from what you told Kent a couple days ago you've just about saved enough gas to completely pay for your new rides. So impressive. Keep us all posted as you rack up the savings.

Hi! Just surfed in via Eve's blog. What an awesome blog you've got AND what a great thing you're doing too! Not only is it better for the environment, but with the price of gas these days, it's also better on the pocket book! LOL...I'm laughing because I never call a wallet a "pocket book", but you know what I mean!

When I was teaching and living overseas, I ALWAYS rode my bicycle to work, to the shops, to the bars...Good times!!

Anyway, glad I popped by. You really do have an interesting blog! :)
